We at Children’s Medical Group cherish the opportunity to care for your family. We have two convenient locations and 12 board certified pediatricians ready to care for your child.
Beginning May 2, 2017, we will offer prenatal classes called “Expectantly Expectant”. These free classes will be offered for all parents-to-be. Come and take advantage of the opportunity to meet some of our physicians and staff, tour our office, learn what to expect after your baby is born and get answers for the questions and/or concerns you may have. One-on-one meetings with our doctors can be scheduled as well by calling one of our office locations.
Hospital Affiliations
In order to offer you greater availability and convenience, we are leaving the hospital setting. We have ensured that your baby will still be in wonderful hands while at the hospital. Should you choose to deliver at Springhill Medical Center or Providence Hospital, board certified pediatricians will care for your newborn. At Mobile Infirmary Medical Center or USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital, board certified neonatologists will provide this care.
At participating hospitals, we will have a hospital liaison meet with you during your stay. The liaison will communicate all birth information and status of your baby to the physician of your choosing at Children’s Medical Group as well as schedule your baby’s first follow up appointment, assist with adding your newborn child to your insurance policy, go over helpful information for new parents and answer any questions you may have. Our goal is to keep you well informed and make your visit with Children’s Medical Group a smooth transition.
If you have chosen Children’s Medical Group to care for your baby, please let us know by calling (251) 342-3810 ext. 6298 and leave your name, telephone number and choice of pediatrician. We will return your call promptly.
Your baby’s first appointment should be 1 – 2 days after hospital discharge.
